We know this is a difficult time for many navigating their loved one's last wishes. It is our hope that this will provide some guidance laying your loved one to rest.
You will first need to coordinate with the funeral home you are working with. You can find some of our area funeral homes HERE.
The funeral home will contact the Sexton. The Sexton will find the purchased plot and mark it out for the digging company.
If you need to purchase a plot, the Sexton will meet with you to show you available spaces. The Sexton will help you in completing the Deed of Sale.
Each plot costs approximately $900.00.
If you wish to transfer a purchased plot to another individual, there is a 10% cost of the original purchase price.
Plots can also be donated back to Walworth Cemetery if they are no longer needed.
If you have purchased a monument through a traditional company, the company will contact the Sexton directly when the monument/head stone is ready to be installed. Upon their call, the Sexton will go out and mark out where the headstone should be placed.
If you purchase your own monument/head stone through companies like Amazon or Etsy, you MUST work with the Sexton pertaining to the foundation of the stone. Cost is determined upon assessment by the Sexton.
